CAN I WEAR CONTACT LENSES?
Almost certainly, yes! Modern materials and manufacturing techniques mean there is a contact lens for almost everyone. We have fitted contact lenses for almost all ages, from 9 to 90. That combined with the skill of our contact lens fitters give you the best possible chance to succeed. The video on this page gives you some idea on what to expect at your contact lens trial.
I ONLY NEED READING GLASSES CAN CONTACT LENSES HELP ME?
Of course. Even if you only need glasses for reading we stock several types of multifocal contact lenses (like the contact lens version of varifocal/bifocal glasses) so you can see to read and still see distance without glasses for either. The 2nd video on this page explains multifocal contact lens, that can help this condition, called presbyopia, which often comes on in people in their 40s.
HOW MUCH ARE THEY?
Your initial contact lens fit is £80 and, if the fit is successful, contact lenses do not have to break the bank. If you want to continue contact lens wear after your fit we set you up on our contact lens care scheme. This is a direct debit that will cover all your contact lens checks and sight tests but can also include your lenses if required. This direct debit is £10/month for aftercare & sight tests only but more if you wish to include the contact lenses in it as well. You will also get 25% discount on your glasses.
